This Phoenix

My passion is Sports, everyone around me knows how much I am invested in the development of Sports and in channeling children's energies into appropriate sporting activities.

 But I am also a fan of many sports and on a lighter note, I was moved to write, albeit my first poem ever! Seriously. I am a Liverpool FC fan and winning the league has got me so excited. Well here goes....

This Phoenix

This Phoenix rises from its ashes, emboldened with renewed strength!

It stands tall,

poised, 

bold, 

RED!

Its tail fans out in defiance, 

Standing as guard; a shield.

At goal, ALISON and ADRIAN; ready to stop.

Feet planted on the field, steady talons rooted; sharp and solid. 

VAN-DYKE , LOVREN, GOMEZ, MATIP; irrepressible walls of protection, fierce gaurdians!

Armed with unfettered courage, they spread out; Poised to take flight, they flap their wings! 

Fierce lads, ALEXANDER-ARNOLD and ROBERTSON surge forward with sheer force of will.

This Phoenix has risen

Sturdy and indestructible,

alive with renewed vigour;

HENDERSON, MILNER WIJENALDUM, CHAMBERLAIN, KEITA, FABINHO, 

LALANA,SHAKIRI, ELLIOT, WILLIAMS, rooted,  reliable and with calm resolve sending shards of fear down the spine of foes!

This Phoenix has risen

Perfect vision, impeccable timing,

Intense and piercing eyes. intense skills, honed, sweeps swiftly and precise,

MANE, SALAH, FIRMINO,  ORIGI, MINAMINO, oh so glorious! How ostentatious!

What flamboyance! 

This Phoenix has risen

Exudes positivity and confidence.  Inspires creativity and commitment,

Yes, the fists pumps show so. 

Oh! JÜRGEN KLOPP; the Crown!, the Crest!

This Phoenix has risen,

30 years, confident and ready!

Because now you believe, This Phoenix was meant to soar!
